Prairie State Primer

Join us for an evening of travel, history, and refreshments with world traveler, John Lynn. John has photographed all 2400 Illinois cities, villages, and towns. He has also hiked, biked, and canoed enough historic and scenic trails, roads, and rivers in North America and Britain to circle the globe. On this occasion, John promises to stay closer to home to discuss the unique features, attractions, and heritage of the Prairie State: Illinois. Both lifelong residents and newcomers to the state of Illinois will find plenty to enjoy in this lively retelling of its colorful and often surprising history.
