Celebrate Library Card Sign-up Month With Us!

September is Library Card Sign-up Month, a national celebration sponsored by the ALA (American Library Association). Library Card Sign-up Month is a time to celebrate and promote library use and support across the country!

Franklin Park cardholders (new and existing) can receive a free card holder! Just go to the Circulation Desk and check out the variety of options available! Available while supplies last.

Celebrate Library Card Sign-up Month at the Franklin Park Public Library by:

  • Getting a Library Card: Gain access to our wide collection of books, audiobooks, movies, video games and museum passes by applying for a Franklin Park Public Library card. To apply, bring a valid photo ID with your current Franklin Park address to the Circulation Desk.
    • For more information on how to get a library card, click here.
  • Using your Library Account: Your library card gives you access to our online catalog. From there you can view holds, manage checkouts, renew materials, and change your PIN and notification preferences. To login, input your 14-digit library card number and your pin (which if you haven’t changed before would be: changeme). Your library card and account grant access to our book, DVD, and video game collections, computer access, museum passes, downloadable e-books and movies, and more!
  • Using your Library Services: The Library offers a wide variety of services, including computers, free WiFi, copying, faxing, and scanning services.
