Statement about Children’s Access to the Library’s Collection

In the spirit of public libraries everywhere, the Library’s collection provides access to materials to serve the community’s needs. Widely diverse points of view will be available in the collection.

Responsibility for children’s (children are defined as ages 17 and under) access to both physical and digital library materials rests with their parents and/or legal guardians.
Selection and display will not be inhibited by the possibility that materials may come into the possession of children.

The Library endorses the American Library Association’s Library Bill of Rights. The Library also endorses the American Library Association’s Freedom to Read and Freedom to View statements.
