Borrow 250+ Movies with a Roku

roku 3

Franklin Park Library patrons can now checkout Roku streaming devices and gain access to movies, TV shows, and free streaming channels at home.

To access these services, you will need a TV with an HDMI port and Internet (either Wi-Fi or regular Internet service).  Simply plug the Roku into your TV’s HDMI port and follow the instructions to connect to your home Wi-Fi. Then navigate through the content using the Roku remote. Channels include Allrecipes.com, Netflix, Crunchyroll.com, PBS, Hulu Plus, YouTube, Audio Crush, BBC World Service, Openfilm, Disney, and many more.

Access the Library’s collection through the Vudu app. You’ll find 250+ movies and TV shows in many popular genres such as action, comedy, drama, and horror along with family-friendly movies and children’s shows. The selection is constantly growing.

Two Roku devices will be available at the Circulation Desk. Rokus can be checked out for seven days by patrons age 18 or older. The Roku comes in a kit with a remote, a power cord, a HDMI cable, an instruction sheet, and a movie/TV show list.  Check the Library’s catalog for Roku availability.   If both are checked out, place yourself on hold or ask at the Info Desk.

Take home a Roku and enjoy!  Please contact the Info Desk with any questions.
